Bio

Ashleigh Landers is a skilled litigator with over 20 years of criminal trial experience. She graduated from George Mason University with a Bachelor's Degree in Government and International Politics in 2001. She received her Juris Doctor from the Florida State College of Law in 2004. Ms. Landers remained in Florida as an Assistant State Attorney for Leon and Wakulla Counties until she returned home to Virginia.

In 2012, she became an Assistant Commonwealth Attorney in Prince William County, where she sharpened her jury trial skills on homicide, online child exploitation, domestic violence, and sexual abuse against children cases. While in Prince William, she handled capital homicide cases, was a member of the State Wide Cyber Crimes Taskforce, and served as the drug and mental health prosecutor.

In 2020, Ms. Landers began work in the Fairfax County Commonwealth Attorney’s Office, leading a team of over 45 prosecutors as Deputy Commonwealth Attorney. She oversaw the implementation of the Body Worn Camera rollout, managed the Homicide/Special Victims Unit (Sexual Crimes), facilitated the examination of officer-involved incidents, and served as not only the Police Liaison but also the liaison for the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of Virginia and the Virginia Attorney General’s Office. In addition to this, she spent countless hours training prosecutors and law enforcement officers across Virginia in evidence rules, sexual crimes against children, and electronic crimes.
